A new passenger-only ferry service has been launched between Qatar and Bahrain to enhance GCC mobility and strengthen regional ties. The ferry connects Al-Ruwais Port in Qatar with Sa’ada Marina in Bahrain, covering 35 nautical miles (65 km) in 70–80 minutes.
Initially available for GCC citizens, tickets can be booked via the MASAR app. Passengers can choose between standard or VIP vessels, accommodating 28–32 travelers with modern onboard facilities, while following all customs and security procedures.
Qatar’s Transport Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani described the initiative as a milestone in bilateral cooperation and GCC integration, fostering developmental and strategic partnerships.
